THE ACTIVITIES OF WOMEN DEVELOPMENT AND CHILD WELFARE DEPARTMENT IN WARANGAL DISTRICT
SERVICE HOME: One Service Home is functioning at Warangal H.Qrs. with a sanctioned strength of (100) deserted, widow, Poverty women and (15) Children below the age group of (3) years. The beneficiaries acqre being provided free boarding, lodging besides training in Embroidary, Tailoring and Education, The Project; Director DW&DA warangal may contact for admission in the Service Home.
CHILDRENS HOMES: Four children homes with a sanctioned strength of (60) children in each Children home are functioning in warangal district at Warangal, Mulug, Jangaon and gudur. Orphans, semi orphans and below povertyline children are being admission in these Homes. The admission order will be given by roject director, Warangal.
COLLEGIATE HOME: A Collegiate home for girls is functioning in Warangal District with a total strength of 30 girls.
WORKING WOMEN'S HOSTEL: One working women's Hostel is functioning at Warangal Hqs with the strength of 30 women who came from different places. They will provided Lodging Boarding facilities on payment of charges prescribed by department from time to time.
BALWADIES & CRECHE CENTRES: (7) Balwadies (10) Creche centers are functioning in warangal district with the sanctioned strength of 30 children in each center. 6 months to 6 years age group children belonging to agriculture labour, poor family will be provided supplementary nutrition with local food commodities and preschool education.
GIRL CHILD PROTECTION SCHEME: The Girl Child Protection scheme is being implemented for the benefit of Girl Child in poor families and promote the small families discourage the tendency on prefer male children, increase enrolment of female children in Schools, preventing dropouts upto X Clss, reduc early marriages. Rs.5,000/- to Rs.6000/-as per age groups is being deposited in the name of the beneficiaries.
ADOLESCENT GIRLS & KISHORA BALIKA PATHAKAM: Adolescent girls in the age group of 11-17 years are covered under the scheme which is being implemented in (9) ICDS Projects of Warangal District. The AG girls will train up in thrift, credit services, health, hygiene, education and bridge course education will also be imparted to bring them back to main stream of education. (22,277) AG girls are being covered under this scheme.
